Meeting an escort in Thailand

How to make contact, what to agree before you meet, and how to keep the time safe and comfortable for both of you.

Before you get in touch

Read the whole profile first. Services, rates, languages, the area covered and whether the escort offers incall, outcall or both are usually all there, and many questions are already answered.

  • Introduce yourself properly: your first name, the day and time you have in mind, how long you would like, and whether you are asking for incall or outcall.
  • If something you want isn't listed, assume it isn't offered. Ask politely before the booking, never during it.
  • Many escorts screen new clients. Answering a few reasonable questions is normal and helps them feel safe.
  • Keep messages respectful and to the point. Explicit messages and haggling are the quickest way to be ignored.

Agree the details in advance

Most misunderstandings start with something nobody agreed. Settle these before you meet:

  • How long the booking lasts, and the rate in baht.
  • Where you will meet. For outcall, check whether there is a travel charge.
  • What is and isn't included, and the cost of any extras.
  • How you will pay: cash in baht is the norm.

Published rates are not an opening offer. Don't try to renegotiate on arrival. If you want to extend, ask politely and agree the price first. Arrive on time and respect the end of the time you booked.

Payment and deposit scams

Payment is usually made in person at the start of the booking. Deposit scams are common in Thailand: someone using stolen photos asks for a deposit by bank transfer, PromptPay, crypto or gift card, then disappears or keeps asking for more.

  • Be wary of anyone who asks for money before you have met, especially under time pressure or through a “manager”.
  • Photos that look professionally polished or appear on other sites under different names are a warning sign.
  • If something feels wrong, stop replying and report the profile so we can review it.

Hotels and condos

Many Thai hotels and condos ask visitors to register at reception and leave a photo ID, and some charge guests a joiner fee. Check your accommodation's visitor policy before the booking and let the escort know what to expect.

  • Don't ask hotel staff about the escort or involve them in the arrangements.
  • Make phone calls about the booking from your room, not the lobby or the street.
  • A clean, tidy room is a good start to any booking.

Respect and consent

Treat the escort the way you would want to be treated: politely, in messages, on the phone and in person.

  • Consent applies to every activity, and either of you can change your mind at any time. Never pressure anyone into something they have declined.
  • No photos, video or audio recordings without clear agreement.
  • Don't ask about their real name, personal life or other clients. If they share, that's their choice.
  • Arrive sober. Being drunk or high is unsafe and disrespectful.
  • Mention allergies, or anything you are sensitive to such as smoke, pets or perfume, when you book.

Personal hygiene

Prepare as you would for a date:

  • Shower before the booking, or at the start if the escort offers one.
  • Trim your fingernails and toenails.
  • Fresh breath matters. Mouthwash or mints help; strong-smelling food beforehand doesn't.
  • Go light on cologne or aftershave.

Sexual health

  • Always use condoms, and never ask for unprotected sex. Bring your own in a sealed pack, even if the escort provides them.
  • Avoid brushing or flossing just before a booking, and shaving intimate areas on the day: small cuts and abrasions raise the risk of infection.
  • Get tested regularly. Clinics across Thailand, including the Thai Red Cross Anonymous Clinic in Bangkok, offer confidential testing, PrEP and PEP. PEP has to be started within 72 hours of a possible exposure, so don't wait.

Staying safe and within the law

Thai law on sex work is complex and is enforced unevenly. Soliciting in public places is an offence. Anything involving a person under 18 is a serious crime with severe penalties, whatever you were told and whatever they look like. If you have any doubt about someone's age, leave.

  • Thailand has very strict drug laws. Don't bring, offer or accept drugs.
  • Keep your phone, wallet and passport secure, and never leave a drink unattended.
  • Tell a friend where you are going and when to expect you.
  • If anything feels unsafe when you arrive, leave. You don't owe anyone an explanation.

In an emergency, call the Tourist Police on 1155, the police on 191 or an ambulance on 1669. Our safety center has more on reporting a concern.

Cancelling, and afterwards

  • If your plans change, cancel as early as you can. Not turning up wastes someone's time and income.
  • Don't make promises you won't keep, about future bookings, gifts or reviews.
  • If you leave a review, keep it honest and fair, and leave out anything that could identify the escort or where they live.
